Manage lead magnet imports

A lead magnet import watches one of your posts for a keyword in the comments, and handles everything that follows — replying, connecting, and sending the thing you promised.

The shape of it

1. You publish a post asking people to comment a keyword.
2. Someone comments it.
3. LinkedLeads detects the comment, imports them as a lead, checks whether you are connected, sends a connection request if not, and delivers your resource by direct message once connected.

The whole cycle runs every 24 hours without you touching it.

Setting one up

1. Name the list. So you can tell this import from your others later.

2. Add the post URL. The post LinkedLeads should watch.

3. Define the keywords. What people must comment to trigger it — guide, ebook, template. Add several variations to catch more people; they are not case sensitive.

4. Write the comment reply. Posted automatically as a reply to their comment, to confirm you have seen it and say what happens next. Something like “Thanks — I've sent you a message.”

5. Decide what to do about people you are not connected to. Either send a connection request automatically, or reply asking them to send one. You need the connection before you can message them.

6. Write the message. Sent once the connection is accepted, and containing the actual resource: “Hi — as promised, here's the guide: [link]. Let me know what you think.”
