How importing prospects works
The shape every import takes, whatever the source.
Importing a lead means bringing their public LinkedIn information — name, job title, company and the rest — into LinkedLeads without copying anything by hand.
It all happens in your own browser, through the Chrome extension, reading the same public pages you can see yourself.
Where leads can come from
From Leads → New import you can bring in:
- A single LinkedIn profile
- A LinkedIn search
- A Sales Navigator search
- A Recruiter Light search or project
- A saved list in Sales Navigator
- A list of LinkedIn profile URLs
- The attendees of a LinkedIn event
- The people who liked or commented on a post
Two kinds of import
Single-shot. The list is imported once. When it finishes, that is the list — new people matching the same criteria later are not added.
Dynamic. The import re-checks its source every 24 hours and pulls in anything new that matches.
Dynamic imports are worth it for sources that keep growing: an event that is still taking sign-ups, a post still collecting comments, a saved Sales Navigator search whose results change as people move jobs. You set it up once instead of re-importing every morning.
Pacing and volume
Imports are deliberately paced to look like ordinary browsing, which is why they take time. How much you can import in a month depends on your plan, and you are warned as you approach the limit.
Daily ceilings apply on top of that — see how daily quotas work.
Once it has finished
Open the list from Leads to review it. From there you can filter it, clean up duplicates, or download it as a CSV.
